As many of you know, when I first came to Access Consciousness, I had recovered from serious, chronic illness (ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / CFS) , using the tools of energy healing, reiki, and EFT. I was happy and enjoying my life…..and with a sense that after years of changing and becoming more well and more energised, things were slowing down.
I wouldn’t exactly say I was stuck, but I was definitely in a place where I was looking for something new and inspiring.
And that’s exactly what Access Consciousness has given me! I’ve received more change with more ease in the time I’ve been using Access tools and receiving Access hands on processes than at any other time in my life – even the time I was recovering from ME / CFS / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
I have just returned home from the Access Consciousness Certified Facilitators training in Venice – feeling inspired, happy and joyful, and looking forward to sharing the tools and techniques of Access even more now. And I thought this was a good time to.write about the things I particularly love about Access that inspired me to train in something new!
One of the main things I love about Access is that it is about empowering you to know what you know (this is one of the first things you see on the Access website) So, it’s not about someone being an expert and telling you what you need to do – more it’s about being offered different tools, techniques and processes, and choosing those which work for you and your body.
I find this very empowering – it immediately felt true to me that I’m the person who knows what is best for MY body. I remember when I was first ill, I would “hang” on the words of other health professionals and healers, always hoping one of them would have the “answer.” Long before Access, I had realised that there isn’t so much one single “answer” to illness, as a process of being in the moment and making different choices that support the next step.
The next great thing about Access Consciousness is that I find it works more quickly than other modalities, and is changing things for me that I hadn’t even considered I could change!
I think I had unconsciously held the belief that I had been lucky to receive the level of change I had already received with energy healing, reiki and EFT. – particularly as I had had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / CFS / ME. (I remember when I was ill, my expectations from life were so low – just being able to walk half an hour or go away for the weekend, without being exhausted!)
All of this changed at a cellular level when I started to use the tools and techniques of Access Consciousness. I now have more energy than at any other time in my life, feel more ease and space in my body, and am creating a life I really love doing this work.
And I know and trust that more is possible as I carry on using the tools and receiving and giving the hands on processes.
The last thing that I’d like to say is that Access is very practical and pragmatic. There are so many different ways of changing things – if you find one of them doesn’t work, then just try another!
I’ve written a lot in the last few months about some of the different techniques of Access Consciousness, and I’m sharing some links here so you can read more if you’ve missed previous newsletters, or would like to be reminded:
This is about the Bars hands on process:
this is about other hands on body processes:
and this is about verbal processes :
And finally, here is a link to the founder of Access Consciousness, Gary Douglas, talking about the “mantra” of Access – “All of life comes to me with ease, and joy and glory.”
I hope you’ve found this interesting and inspiring – and if so, you will probably be interested in the offer I have for you:
